First-light
Parade is over now all the drunk teenagers from the suburbs start making trouble. Just saw a brawl down on 8th ave. The train ride home will be real pleasant! lol
Two Track
Just another reason why I refuse to work in NYC. Take a few Tylenol before leaving so it can kick in at the time you hit the rowdy loud noise levels.

virgil
I don't miss the city at all. Hated that parade- and any others that tied up the UES where I worked.

BizCT
Yes, it's annoying with all the cops and people everywhere, but I can't complain too much. For many years, I loved coming down to the city with a bunch of people and going to bars at 9am and drinking and partying all day. It was always mayhem. None of us are irish, but it was a great time. We would do NYC 1 saturday, Hoboken 1 saturday, and White Plains 1 saturday. They were always staggered saturdays so you could attend all 3 days of bar hopping all day long. ants
I Can't imagine the NYC parade…I have been to the parade In Syracuse a bunch of times. In my younger days it was a ball. Then I didn't go for years until my daughters dance team started to march. I've gone for the past 8 or 10 years and it has been a drunken puke fest every year. Last year I walk into the mens room of a down town bar to see a drunken, sloppy 20 something year old girl sitting on the crapper, stall door wide open, laughing uncontrollably while her girlfriend was puking in the sink. Classy!!!! 20 years ago I would have laughed but now I just can't take it

If you stick around for the mayhem after it's your own fault. I remember watching a girl try to pee in a urinal while a bunch of guys just watched and laugh. Her dad must be proud. I walked about a block to use the john and there it was…I don't trust drunk people around porta johns (seen more than one tripped over in my days) so I took the walk. Luckily the 3rd stringers hand't discovered the pizza joint next door and I was able to make a pit stop and get back. You're right though… Hang around after the parade and face the consequences.
