What's a good pattern?

You always hear people say their guns pattern well but they leave out some details. I haven't exhausted testing patterns by any means but one that I'm ok with is the one I'm using now:

132 pellets in the head and neck of a standard HS Turkey head patterning target at 35 yards. There's 77 pellets on the left half and 75 on the right half of the 11"x11" target. I'm shooting 1 3/4 oz of #6 hevi-13 shot, from a 12ga Benelli Supernova with a Pure Gold ported turkey choke.

So that's 37% percent in the head and neck. 78% on an 11" x11" paper target. like i said at 35 yards.

what does this compare to what setups others the rest of you have? this okay, good, great, or amazing? lol I'd like to know.

Last I checked, I had 293 pellets of #5's 3 1/2" Winchester 2.25oz load in a dinner plate circle at 20 yards...

100 hits in a 10" circle is the benchmark to ensure a clean kill on a gobbler. You also want a nice even pattern. Of course having some extra insurance is always nice, my 20ga setup that is my primary gun will put about 170 in 10" at 40yds.

Yea I mean it could be better but it's not bad at all I think. I ask because some had said it was not good.

Not sure if the barrel length of 26" is causing the pattern to be blown a little.

Not sure how much it helps, but with magnum hevi mix, my gun put most pellets in a 6-8" circle at 25yds.  I didn't count pellets or pattern at longer distances.  It was pretty dense though and I am sure would be fatal, if I ever saw a bird that is.  lol

Honestly Machinist, we just cant find em day or evening.  Our property must be covered in turkey repellant.  I better stick to the deer.  lol
