Hello guys

I'm a pretty new hunter that's mostly done preserve/ranch hunts out of state. Im 37, live in Nassau County, and really want to start hunting in my own state. I'm hoping I can meet some awesome fellow hunters and get into NY hunting.

Welcome to the forum.  Are you planning to sticking to Long Island or are you hunting upstate?

Sorry.  To clarify, I'm from NYC so by upstate, I mean anything north of NYC.

Hey Elmo. I really go anywhere in NYS if I had the right people . I'm still fairly new and never actually hunted without the assistance of a guide.

Right on man I have gone hunting with three guys from this site already. If you ever wan ago for a hunt feel free to hit me up. Your gonna find if you are new to this site that the people here are funny and nice as hell. I got so much help from this site I can't even tell you! I can show you where some easy bow hunting spots are out on the island and the permits you need to hunt there and how to get em! So pm me and welcome friend now do us all a favor and get em leaking this season!

I hunt mainly in Westchester and also some Putnam and Orange counties.  We can go if you ever make it up this way.
