Bow blind

I just put in a food plot. There isn't many good trees for my climber or a ladder stand near where I want to set up. Does anyone here have success bowhunting from the ground? If so Should I go with a bought ground blind? I was thinking of making one with a few downed trees and maybe a couple of bails of hay.

Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

I would purchase a tent blind.It will keep you scent to a minimum compared to a brush blind.

This is what I use. Big enough for 2 people during bow season. I always cut a few tree limbs to blend it in and never place it in the open.

I used an Ameristep Doghouse TSC for about 5 years.  You have to put it up early and brush it in.  I had enough room for myself and both kids comfortably.  The sun began to eat it up, (which happens to all blinds).  So I built a permanent 6x 6 foot blind for the same money as the fancy hub blinds on the market.

Go with a purchased blind. Practice from inside it. Practice setting with your hunting gear on. Set it up early in your hunting area. Face it either facing north or south to avoid direct sunlight into it. Good Luck.

I've used a homemade blind made from artificial christmas trees. never wears  out and they were all free roadside pick ups... bend the limbs anywherebyou want for a shooting hole. get one  in early usuing haybales or what ever you want it will work fine and free is best!!
