Bow mounts for ATV/UTV

What are you guys using for bow mounts? Im ideally looking to have mine attached up under the roof on my Viking. Preferably held horizontally for maximum head room and protection for the bow. I tried being cheap and just using bungee cords but couldnt make it easy and secure enough.

I have the Koplin mounts on my Honda rancher but don't think they would work well upside down

not setup the way you described but i have ATV Tek VFGH V-Grip Rider for the handlebar. its secure and protects the bow.

 

 

I will note that although these were made for ATV's I use it on my mountain bike to get deep in public land.

WNY, you have enough room up there to mount two bows? I don't think I have seen one that mounts more than a single bow on the roof. Guns, yes but I have seen two bows. outside back window mounts might work pretty well too.

Nah Im not worried about 2 bows, but 2 might fit. I already found a 2 gun case that I will use. It sone of the bag style ones that goes behind the headrests. The bow Id like to be able to keep under the roof though, just more protection I think. Theres a few mounts for bows that would go behind the headrests, but Id be worried about tree branches or something hanging up on it.

He has them trained now to come up and eat out of the bed of the UTV so it's kind of like ringing the dinner bell when it heads out...lol

LOL, no, but if I am hauling a deer out or taking a disabled person on a hunt, or something like that, Id like a spot to secure a bow or maybe two.

At 73 and a faulty aortic valve I have been and still Drive to me blinds.I am driving on my property almost every day with the atv or one of the tractors.The deer are not spooked at all.I park it outside of the blinds and does not scare them at all.I have had them bedding and browsing 30 yards from sunrise to sunset.The property has very few flat areas my property goes from 2000 feet to 2500 feet in a 1000 foot distance.If I score and get some thing I just gut it and go back get my JD with the bucket and bring it back down to the block and tackle.

I have made out tubing that I welded to fit one rack up front ,Can carry 2 rifles in cases or 2 bows also a rack in the back that holdt 3 milk crates or 2 crates and a cooler.On the atv.

Have a good and safe up coming hunting season.

Im starting to think i might take this idea and run with it myself....

I have used Koplin in the past and they seem to work well and are well made. On my Polaris, I had to make my own because the front doesn't have racks. Its flat, and lifts for storage.

I just put the rifle cases in any of the hooks or compound on the inner top hooks and a long or recurve on the bottom.

You just have to be careful the rifles or shotguns are longer then the ATV is wide unless you have a UTV.

I use the almost every day all year long as long as the snow is not too deep.I have carried  every thing you can think of,the back rack I use a lot for hauling Sap in 3 ea. 5 gallon buckets on the back. They work for me.

On both the front and rear rack I welded links from a chain all over to attach bungee cord to hold things in place.

Gotcha, thanks. I have a side by side, so no racks on it like an ATV.
