2023 DMP's

The DEC has put the 2023 DMP numbers and probabilities on their web site. You have to use the search bar and type 2023 DMPs and it will pop-up.

If I'm reading this correct it will be the 1st time out of state hunters can get DMP's. This is good.

My brother lives in California.  He comes home every year for opening weekend. Always flys the “red eye”. First stop is Wally World to get his license. I always thought non residents couldn’t get DMP’s but he has been getting them for years. They always ask if he wants doe permits, he says yes and has gotten them.

No, this is not the first year.  Not sure when it started or if they ever weren't able to get DMP's but non-residents have definitely been able to get DMP's for a good many years now.  In most cases chances for selections are a bit less for non-residents, especially on chances for a second DMP or in areas where there are fewer DMP's given out.

Hi Steve! Yeah I get it that probably what I saw and thought they just weren't allowed to apply. Thanks all.

BTW I saw one hell of a doe a few weeks ago. Just down the road from me, in tow were three fawns.
