Blind or just sit turkey hunting

I’m new to the turkey hunting

i set my blind up on the edge of the woods ,, heard a couple gobblers about 100 yards away

  Yelped a few times .. they went quiet 

I stayed until noon

Do most sit on the ground ?

Use decoys ?

If you heard them at 100 yds and you were in the cover of a blind you couldn't be in a better place. Go light on the calling and use different calls because once they tag you as a fake you're outta luck. 

At first light or even later if you hear them sounding off at a great distance then yes close the gap between you and them and find a good tree to sit by (running and gunning it's called). Good camo and face covering and no movement is a must when they're moving in to your calling. Remember they see way better than we do and can pick you out way before you even know their there
