WNY Bowhunter
Checked a couple of cameras today that were set up on some oaks, had 6 bucks on camera since Thanksgiving... Of note: Wannabe (3.5 year old) is still kicking around... Last pics prior to gun season... Monday morning... Daylight, only 15 yds from my groundblind!!! My favorite 2.5 yr old, 11-pt. I'm super excited to see what he turns into this next year!!! Sunday evening... Edited December 12, 2014 by WNY Bowhunter

meatmuzzy
What makes you think that's a yearling deer? Not being a smartass at all I just think his body looks pretty chunky for a yearling.
Pygmy
What makes you think that's a yearling deer? Not being a smartass at all I just think his body looks pretty chunky for a yearling. Look how short the snout is...Says "yearling" to me..Most two year olds up this way have much bigger antlers, also. He looks chunky because he isn't very long. WNY Bowhunter
Hope to see some colored pics of these antlers soon! I presume that you mean without the deer attached to them? Won't be long until these bones are laying on the ground!!!

WNY Bowhunter
Those apples all piled up quite nicely in 2013 I notice. You are correct. There was a bumper crop of apples last fall. This particular cam was set up on the Apple tree and there were apples on the ground through November. I may have accidentally grabbed a few branches and shook them a bit to accelerate the drop age...
