I have a shotGun that was my Dad's and would like to give to my Nephew.I have no paper work to show ownership that it was his so my question is how can I give this Gun to my nephew so he has no problems in the future

don't tell anyone........or go to a FFL holder and have it properly transferred.

You dont need to show ownership of it. Just need to go through an FFL to transfer it.

Thank you!I would rather buy him a gun from the shop than give him this one but he has fell in love with this gun/me too.Its a Remington 1100 semi auto from 1973 in left hand a beauty for sure

Technically you're suppose to transfer it through an FFL. That means You pay an FFL fee and go through the background check & paper work BS. In some cases where the two parties know each other well enough, I assume that they  just give the gun (long gun anyway) to the other person and avoid the Little King Cuomo ..SAFE ACT bull . But that is just an assumption on my part.

It took alot of talking and he and I decided to go to gunshop and he purchased his very own.Very happy he is not anew firearm but new to him.We picked up a Mossberg 500 with both slug and bird for 175 out the door.
