Great American Outdoor Show

Any of you guys or gals going to the show this weekend?   I'll be there both days and would like to meet you if you're there.  I'll be wearing a shirt and or jacket that have Matthews Custom Calls logo on it.  If you see me stop me and say hello.

Not going this year, but it's a good show to go. It doesn't change as much year to year though. With the new ownership/mgmt., the show definitely has a larger gun/gun hunting focus last year. I found the archery section to be about 1/2 as big as they were before. Also the independent shops that sell hunting gear were much less common.

 

It was nice to be able to see a wider selection of guns, whether they were tactical or hunting.

 

But above all, the pricing of items for sale went to heck this past year. Deals were darn near impossible to be had. Years past you could find some great deals.

 

Having said all that, its an enjoyable show.

went years ago before the messed up stance on evil black guns.  really liked the show.  bought a bunch of stuff from smaller mom and pop companies for a good deal.  stuff like custom arrows for the wife, fire starting steel, and then I got some rifle slings I'm sold on.  they're the only slings I have for all my guns now.... slogan outdoors ultraflex sling... made in the USA and guaranteed no matter what.

I'll be there all day Saturday... been there 3 other times. Great show last year . This year I am actually looking for items in particular so it will be more fun.

I have work in Carlisle so I'll definitely check out the show. I shot the 3d course last year it was pretty cool

Tuesday and maybe part of Weds depending how much time it takes to talk to folks I know and meet some new ones.

Done all 9 days for outfitter once and that can draaaaaag.

Been going on and off for 25 years, but missed last 3, including the cancellation year.
