Just saw the dumbest thing ever on Man vs Wild. This dude skinned a snake and peed in it so he can save his now festering urine in it. Did I mention he was also on the heat of the desert?

He's also proven to be fake.  Some of the scenes are staged.  Les Stroud is the real bad ass because he does it by himself.  No camera crew or anything.  That's why Bear Grylles is more popular.  Les won't do the stupid stuff that Bear does because he'll die but the general public who has no knowledge of this wants to see someone pee into a snake skin.

I like 'em both as entertainers. Ray Mears is good too. He is far more down to earth than either Bear or Les.

As for the two guys, Stroud was a music major turned garbage man turned outdoor guide.

Grylls is an accomplished climber,sailor and a para trooper in the SAS who, also climbed MT Everest and lead expeditions in places like the Northwest passage .

I don't watch either shows but Grylls sure seems like he accomplished way more.

I agree with Elmo because some of the things he does spits in the face of common sense and other are done for pure shock value. If ur eating a bug, why would u intentionally bite it where the guts ooze out... shock value. Les uses straight forward common sense a majority of the time.
