What is everyone thinking with the rain situation for the northern muzzleloader opener tomorrow.

With the sudden drop in temperature, and rain, snow showers on tap, don the rain gear and get out there! I think a bunch of deer will take a dirt dive this weekend!

Are you shooting a flintlock or inline ? Put a piece of electrical tape over the end of your barrel if inline.

The cap seals tight in the breech plug which is the only way to the powder except the bore. Stick a piece of electrical tape over the bore and your waterproof. I used the corner of a plastic baggie and a rubber band last year in a pinch. Stuffed all my venison jerky from the bag into my chest pocket. Made for easier consumption too lol

Sitting here debating whether or not to head out to Walworth . rain is forecasted at 4 pm and again at 6 pm . Who knows , it might not rain at all but I don't want to get soaked and then sick . Rain forecasted Friday through Sunday .

Same forecast as yesterday . Rain in the morning and again in the afternoon according to Accuweather . I got my butt soaked yesterday and my clothes felt like they weighed a ton . I don't want to get sick and not be able to hunt so I will wait until Monday .

I just checked yet again and it's back to 40%...12-1pm and the the winds are suppose to die down and this afternoon is suppose to be great
