lost phone

I was in a hurry leaving my hunting spot on Sunday night and i left my iPhone on the back of my truck. Well you guessed it I lost it. I went back to look for it and later used my wife's phone to call it to see if it would light up but no luck. Now i'm looking for a replacement. I had an Apple 4s and would like to get one like it. Anybody out there have one they would like to sell? I'm watching several on Eboy but I really don't want to spend too much. Any ideas? Thanks

get on Google. A buddy had it happen to him and used some app on his wife's phone to walk right to where his phone was. Can't remember what it was.

find iphone is the app, but I believe that you need to have it on your phone before you lose it in order for it to work(I could be wrong though, I've never needed to use it)

yeah, that was it. I think it is a setting though and not an app you had to download.

It works, I found my iphone in the middle of woods last year when I dropped it.

Well if anyone here has an IPhone it would seem to be a good Idea to get this set up. Might save you $$$

My recollection was that it is turned on in the new phones unless you opt out.  I hadn't set up anything and it was on but you should confirm.  Saved me $600.

Go to http://www.icloud.com and log into your account and use the find my phone icon.  You can also lock and delete the phone.

Good luck...makes me laugh I have lost 2 so far...in the woods...now the family won't get me a "modern" cell phone.... ...For one thing...I never have it charged,check texts, or voice mail, and rarely have the ringer on...but it does make a nice alarm clock

i tried the find my phone app but i didn't have it activated as i have limited data time and didn't want to run over. Now I wish i had it on.

Bummer, I figured you'd find it.  Did you look right at your first turn. left or right?  I'd think it would be right there.....

 

They are doing paving in the area though and those lug nuts would have just paved 'er over.

 

Who knows.....bad deal either way.

Never found the phone, I just got my new to me phone. I now have a moto x android phone. Totally new to me as my last phone was an Apple, but I have a droid tablet for work so the learning period should be quick. lol

I assume that any find your phone app will require data being turned on. Because my plan with consumer cellular is limited I only use wifi for data. But i'll look into it.
