Southern Dutchess 8 pointer

Hunted my "lucky" stand this morning and I made  75 yd. shot with the muzzleloader on this buck. I have shot 3 bucks of similar quality over the past 4 years from this stand. I know that there are bigger ones shot elsewhere in the state, but this is a good one for this area. 

I hunt the property a lot during bow season and have had chances at some smaller bucks, but have passed on them. I missed my chance at a smaller 8 pt. last Sunday at 20 yds.

Way to go Birdhunter ! I'm glad to see a fellow Dutchess County resident got something. I've been out 3 days so far without seeing anything. Very depressing.
