Curmudgeon
Hummers are dangerous. My deck is in the flight path.
growalot
I have to get the feeders out...I noticed I have at least one blue bird house being used, was going to cut an out of control wild rose bush(10ftx10ftx8ft high) but when I went to pull Chinese garlic out from it's base I had Baltimore Orioles very very upset with me.Rabbits nest in there as well its a tightly woven fortress of killer thorns...so no cutting until fall. I know they are suppose to nest high in trees..apples being a favorite . These guys have a nest in that rose bush next to two big wild apples....she was making quite the fuss before flying out and into a near by larch. The male was in the apple behind me, beside himself. turkeyfeathers
Years back I was on a business trip in Texas. Our hotel was all glass windows. On flight path of hummingbirds. You'd see dozens of dead ones each day scattered all around. Sad and poor planning on architects part.
