In Sept, Oct, Nov we're doing mentored hunts at the Walkill refuge. It's in NJ but very near the Orange co NY line n non residents are welcome. Call the Walkill River national wildlife refuge for more info. It's a joint venture between them and the NWTF. These are deer hunts but in spring we do the same w turks.

Way to go Bowguy! We need to have something like this in all areas!

The NWTF is a big supporter. They also do disabled vet park hunts. Great success though it's too far for me or for NY hunters. Have a local chapter start something up and let's make it bigger and bigger. We've been running fairly high success in the programs and again non residents welcome

Any female hunters but the idea is to help people with no mentors or newbies learn the sport. There will be field dressing lessons and processing lessons the next day. We're also doing some scouting known areas outside hunt site to try n show them what to look for far as food sources and sign.

Besides the hunt its a learning experience all the way around. For the people in wheel chairs we have a motorized one w trax to get them in. The spot is set aside for mentored hunts.

Besides the hunts my gun club partners w the refuge to put on a disabled vet fishing/barbecue and the following day is family fishing day.

Look up the NWTF events calendar to see other women's events such as kayaking/archery days.

All positive stuff
