Tape scent

Weird question but does anyone use tape while hunting. I was thinking of using it for a few different things but worried about the scent. Most tapes have a super strong plastic smell. Any suggestions?

I use Orange trail marking tape occasionally when following a faint blood trail marking the last found blood but have never noticed all that much smell to it. I also remove the tape after the search is over.

I don't use it, if tracking I'll use toilet paper that's biodegradable..............I find myself collecting pockets full of that orange tape that people leave behind.

Yes, all of the time...all my cardboard blinds have taped seams and nails...my stabilizer was  blk. and reflected the sun so I camo taped it. It has never been  an issue.

Well , that explains why I can't find the trail to my stand !

Depending on the hunting pants I am wearing I will use either gaiter leggings or camo duck tape to seal my boots and pant cuffs to keep ticks out especially in warmer weather. 

As for the tape's scent I firmly believe that there is no possible way to defeat a Deer's sense of smell if you are upwind and the scent around you is going to them. So while I try not to stink like high Heaven I do not worry at all about the tape's scent.

Watch using TP . If Pygmy finds it , it'll be used. He claims to have a non shy bowel system

that's why I stopped picking it up when I find it......

Use the camo kind on my metal tree stands all the time.  Us it to quiet and secure the attachment pins, quell any squeaks, etc.

Put it on early enough and the scent washes out in the rain.
