There are currently 3 bills in the NYS Senate..........

S1320-Restrictions on ammo sales

S3041-Mandatory 10 day waiting period for firearm purchase. 

S2857-Mandatory Liability Insurance for Firearm Owners.

You didn't think that the safe act was the end of it did you. The fact that the safe act was passed and has resisted all gun-owner efforts to erase it, and the fact that Andy got re-elected, has simply emboldened the anti-gun nuts all the more. I'm sorry folks, but that safe act exposed just how weak the gun lobby really is. There will be bills like these coming out of the woodwork now.

A few counties in Oregon have proclaimed themselves 'sanctuary counties' with respect to anti-gun measures. Hey, it works for illegal aliens. Right?

This is entirely grassroots, folks. No legislator can make this happen. Make your voices heard.

Fortunately, the Senate is not as anti-gun as the assembly.  These bills will die there, like they all do.

The gun lobby is very weak in NY State.  It has achieved huge advances in much of the rest of this nation, and continues to do so.  Probably because much of the rest of this country isn't as apathetic and defeatist as NY gun owners are.

BTW, there is no "gun lobby".  There are individual gun owners that band together to fight infringements, and there are gun owners that don't.  NY has much of the latter.
