Daughter and I shed hunting

Never specifically went out shed hunting before. Hit a spot I know holds deer and you can't hunt.

Never a good sign when you cut other boot and dog tracks on a trail. I'm pretty sure this place gets hit hard

Lots of deer sign . And found 5 dead ones or remains.

Big droppings. No deer didn't poop the dime

Found an old bivouac

Daughter found where an owl roosts. Lots of castings

Any ideas on this glass box like thing? Completely sealed and intact .

Nice 2 hour walk. No sheds found.

Forgot to mention saw 7 deer. 4 and 3. First four saw us but didn't spook. Maybe 50-60 yards. They started to alert and slowly walk away , tails down. I gave them a bleat. Ha , they all turned around and walked straight towards us. We got a kick out of that.
Thank goodness I didn't haul that glass block window home as a prize. Daughter just fell asleep on the couch. I guess her little ballet legs couldn't muster her heavy Alpha Burly 1600 boots lol.

A nice expedition with your daughter. I can only remember the time hunting with mine. Time goes by quickly enjoy every minute.
