EspressoBuzz
I see what you are saying, you don't hate consumer protections you just hate when the government does it. But who should? who will? and why haven't they? But tell me this, this airline regulation is already in place and factored in to the prices which have been at all time lows, how does eliminating this regulation help the people? It is one of many regulation they have on airlines why get rid of this one? Your wrong about America's economic history, too much to go into here. America's greatest growth happened during it's expansion years and when that couldn't be sustained the free market collapsed and was only revived by a war economy which some parts of our economy are still in today. tuckersdaddy
Tucker read the posts slowly and in order and you'll see my post is commenting on the one directly before my post, duh. BTW I fly often, and the regulation just states that all fees and charges of any kind must be disclosed at the time of purchase as opposed to showing up at the airport and finding out you have to pay for something extra like checking a bag. But who cares right? If it's pro-consumer it must be bad for businesses. If you fly all the time, or read any news on the airline industry, you already know... there are baggage fees. What you are proving here is the need for such fees... Let follow this through. First you need to fund a full layer of a department in gov. to oversee. Must be payed by more fees and taxes. The airlines must hire a more non-productive employees for gov. compliance..Will be payed for in higher comsumer costs. And lets get right to the point that drives all you left thinkers right off the cliff... Airlines are for profit companys. They do not pay for anything.. the consumer using thier services pay for it... And thats why there are airplanes to fly on. You want to see how well the gov. runs a transportation entity just look at Amtrak. Its a black hole for resources paid for by the tax payers that is used by very few. This isnt happening in just transportation, its happening in every buisness in the US. Its absolutly absurd that when a new business attempts to open that the first positions that have to be filled are gov. compliance positions. It sucks up resources that could used for production, and prevents many small buisness from opening, growing and in many cases just staying afloat.Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
philoshop
Government never does anything well. What's sad is that they don't realize that fact. "There was a point in time in the last couple of years that I was having to hire more lawyers to try to intercept these new regulations than I was hiring...engineers. that doesn't make any sense." Mario Longhi, CEO of U.S. Steel speaking to President Trump in January 2016.
