a 1985 SeaNymph center console with a Yamaha 1987 75 hp. Trailer has broken axil. It has been winterized and shrink wrapped, but has not been used in the last 5 years.

I looked inside and it needs cleaning up. Any thoughts, I don't have any more info except that is was used mainly in fresh water.

Thanks,

FL

$1,000  tops. Carbs probably need cleaning after five years. Along with the broken trailer axle. Make sure the transom is solid!!! If not the boat is useless. Also check the steering cables. The old SeaNymph's are a pretty decent boat! But always be careful when buying a boat 30 plus years old, unless you know it's history. Is it an 18 footer?

Blue book for that, if its the 17 foot, is around 3000 to 3500 depending on condition. Id subtract a few hundred for the broken axle, and a few more to cover anything thats broken, usage, condition, etc and youre looking at around $2500 IF the engine runs, electrical all works, etc.

Transoms are not that hard to replace in those. $1000 would be an extreme lowball offer. Take a peek at what aluminum boats are going for. I was lucky to find a bare hull on a trailer for what I paid. A 16 foot utility boat with a 25 to 30hp motor and trailer is in the 1500 to 2000 range around here for anything newer than 1990s.
