philoshop
He benefited greatly from a Hollywood cast of California misfits masquerading as law enforcement professionals. The prosecutors cared more about camera time than the administration of justice. He proceeded to commit an idiotic crime for a few thousand dollars worth of sports memorabilia and served almost 9 years in prison for it. He testifies at his parole hearing that he believes he's "led a conflict-free life". Apparently he's completely forgotten that he was charged at least twice for beating up his wife, at least once for beating up a girlfriend, once for murdering two people, and eventually convicted for his part in an armed robbery. That's hardly a "conflict-free life". Being 70 YO is no excuse for forgetting all that, although a career of participating in an inherently violent sport may help one forget. I don't think justice has been served, but he's walking out a free man. I'd be willing to bet that he's back behind bars in a couple of years. Hopefully it won't be for murdering more people, but he's a violent man with no self-control or respect for others.
