Trail cams and bears

Just curious of how many had their cams eaten/messed with by bears. Until recently I've never captured a bear on cam where we hunt. BUT that sow did in fact lick the heck out of my camera. How the heck did she smell it or did she hear it ? It was almost a month after setting it I had pics and video so I'll go with she heard it and not smell it. Initial pics and she is pretty far off even to hear it. I can (bearly ) barely hear it while standing next to it.

2 weeks ago had one rip it right off the tree, breaking the bungee cords holding it. Didn't break the hooks the cords were on so that was a plus. Found it 10 feet from the tree it was on. The only picture recognizable is of the bears snout prior to the clobber in of the camera

everything has an odor just because its not been touched for a month dosnt mean it dosnt have an odor, any human odor was more then likely gone but maybe the bear smells plastic and has found food before in plastic container or just curious

My cams always get messed up by bear. Just last week I had one on it and he turned it sideways. Broke the strap another year. I checked my cam one day at 3:00 put the new card in and at 3:05 had a bear pose for a picture. Here is a series of shots messing with the cam.
