Robhuntandfish
have seen a lot of numbers that about 33% or more of people havent recertified. And the news etc has published this all over. But I heard a good point last night. Your local county townships prob havent omitted people who have passed away or moved and since over a million people have moved out of NY in the last 5 years - thats prob where those numbers came from. The dead wont be recertifiying anytime soon, and the people that moved are glad to be gone from NY restrictions.
Dinsdale
Couple folks I mentioned this to had no clue in the last few weeks. I have to admit I totally forgot letter that came way back, and seeing this on another forum is what got me thinking about it a few months ago. If they have 66% up from what they had just a month ago that would surprise me.
Robhuntandfish
My former BIL did competition shooting for like 10 years and had no idea til 2 weeks ago when I asked him if he did it. fasteddie
Information on the recertification has been on the TV news , radio and newspapers several times . I sent mine in January 5 . It was signed for on Jan 9 but still doesn't show processed . I wonder if the recertification numbers are low due to the slow process .

mlammerhirt
The issue date on the plastic one should be the same date as your original . So that means he would be to recertify?? Because they still need to be registered with the state police data base? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
fasteddie
It sure does mean that he has to recertify . The permit issue date on the card is what is important not the date the card was printed .

It HAS to be through the State Police.
