Nomad
A couple of my friends and former co-workers . Hunted with both of them and had many fires together . I asked , “ what did the cop do? “ “ watched “...... Scott had just launched his boat when the wife ran up and said her husband just flipped his kayak, so,off they went , they were amazed that he would use the type of kayak he had in that river . Anyway, good outcome , and good job . http://www.niagara-gazette.com/news/crime/off-duty-firefighters-help-rescue-capsized-kayaker-in-lewiston/article_bc79388c-6e57-11e8-ab8f-9f8530627742.html

turkeyfeathers
Have fished the niagara many times near art park for Lakers and Steelies. That river is no joke , scary in fact. Can’t imagine anyone to run a kayak there. Good on your friends to help out the dumbass.
grampy
You firefighters, and cops, are "always on the job"! Good thing too. As there is never a shortage of people needing help.
Nomad
Anybody would have done the something ,I’d like to think . Robby said the river is “crazy scary “, idk but he’s NYS certified in swift water rescue , ice rescue, high angle rope rescue, this is what he does, so I’ll take his word on that. scott has been a hard charger all his career ,he’s in charge ( Capt) of a firehouse along the Genesee and Lake Ontario, so he’s very good in the water as well. Both very very good deer hunters .

The craziest was the day the guys were down there filming themselves riding jet skis through the whirlpool rapids in front of us.
