Single_shot
Had to run in to town before the storm last night and when I returned, I saw a big rock on the driveway...turned out it wasn't a rock. I took these 2 pictures and left her alone as I could see she really was bothered by my actions. Robhuntandfish
got a longtime buddy that just snatches them up and they become meat! One time i stopped at his house and he had 4 of them in barrel . Love going to his cookouts always got to ask "whats this?" not afraid to try it but like to know - could be turtle to Caribou!

turkeyfeathers
That’s a big snapper. Insert joke here Pygmy. Had turtle soup in Nola and it was delicious. I heard most snappers are disease ridden. True ?

I avoid taking turtles this time of the year...I'd prefer to let them lay their eggs and maybe take one to eat in a month or so, after the nesting season. I have dodged several in the road within the last week...
