Zag
So I sprayed weed killer back in the spring and planted my plot like I always do. Less than 1% germination afterwards, not sure if it was the seed or what, but anyways this grass has now over taken the area and it has in previous plot yrs, it just kinda over takes it. It also dies out in the fall. Any idea what type and how to rid this?
moog5050
Almost looks like crabgrass but that doesn’t die out. Are you cutting it. Looks well manicured. I would think a heavy dose of glysophate would kill it. Edited August 9, 2018 by moog5050

LET EM GROW
Crab grass. spray it with gly. let it die completely. Stuff comes on strong as summer droughts kick in.. Every year in July and August it comes through anywhere it can as grasses go dormant with dry conditions... Do your new clover plot with a cereal grain this fall when ready, but no later than mid September.
landtracdeerhunter
Summer fallow, then plant to late summer plants. I've been doing it for 45 years effectively. Easy on the pocketbook.
