Dom
This is a ? about shooting in cross wind conditions. How does one aim to make a good shot placement in crosswind situations? While target shooting I find the poi is not where my pins sights are in tuned for. moog5050
Theoretically the wind pushes the vanes and causes the arrow to move towards the direction from which the wind is blowing. in other words, the arrow moves more into the wind which seems counterintuitive. How much really requires some testing but I have never noticed much of a difference at reasonably close hunting ranges.
grampy
At less than 30 yards, I've never seen my arrows affected too much at all by the wind. Unless it's gusting gail force. If it's blowing hard enough to affect arrow flight, probably don't want to be in a tree anyways.

Effect on the arrow was not part of the thought process.
Robhuntandfish
if its a real windy day i limit my shot distance even further. Def nothing over 30. I have shot my bow to practice when it was real windy and like others said never saw a difference inside 30 yards.
Buckmaster7600
For reasonable distances it’s little concern if your bow is properly tuned. If your arrows are dancing out of the bow wind will play hell and there isn’t a way to adjust pot for it because it will be very inconsistent.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
