Pretty Cool Scrape Pic

Got this pic recently and noticed something that I had missed, while scrolling through the pics on my phone. This 8pt is working a mock scrape that I made last weekend. You can see my ladderstand on the left side of the pic. But what I didn't notice earlier though is the little doe laying at the base of the tree in front of him.

May be a BB...

If not a BB, then it's pretty normal for bucks to start visiting those doe bedding area scrapes.

He wouldn't be posturing if she were in breeding state...he wouldn't let her lay down without him doing the same or getting her on her feet.

I saw him last week in that same spot. I took a 2 min long video of him eating acorns ~15 yards away. Thought I would make a mock scrape there and see if it would get any "love". I got several pics of him working that licking branch.

Very cool. Always enjoy getting them to do something rather than just waiting for them to mess up. Not as many chances to do that in whitetail hunting as compared to say turkey.
