When Do You Call It Too Cold To Hunt Small Game?

My chances of getting out today are getting less and less.  Snowing so hard here can hardly see across the road.  

I am missing walleye fishing on the boat on a nice day already.

Sitting for squirrels- +30 or below I guess. They USUALLY don't move much when it gets cold out.

Walking with a dog (or no dog)- I guess 5 or lower. You are burning calories and staying warm that way. But if the snow is deep or the dogs seem uncomfortable, I'd stay in & stay warm.

It is not fit for man or beast in these winds. 30-40 mph gusts here with temperature dropping to about 6 over night. Just glad I don't live in or near Watertown.

I have to wear gloves when it's cold. I've had frostbite a few times, and my hands don't function right when they are cold anymore.

The older I get the more clothing I put on.
