I had my dad drive by it yesterday to check the parking for me. He saw 1 car at 10am. During the week you will never have a problem finding a spot at least I never have . On Weekends sometimes you may have to park down the road or something but I have never not been to any of those places in 3n and not found a parking spot maybe not in the exact place I wanted to park so you have to walk more but no big deal . Only anoyoning thing about public is it seems like you always find someone hunting in the very place you want to hunt in the woods .

I may try it friday afternoon. Or definitely some afternoon for the first try.

BizCT
10/4: hunted morning till 11am and then 230pm - dark. No deer seen. Very windy. During my lunch break a tree branch fell through my blind. Happy I wasn’t in it. 4x2, 6pt came thru last night at legal shooting hours but not tonight. Also checked a cam on lower part of property. Nothing recent but a 4pt and the wide low 8pt.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BizCT
10/5: hunted Stateland till 9am. Saw a big lone doe at 60yds at 740am. I pulled my cam so it doesn’t get stolen. This guy got lucky on 10/1. Unfortunately I couldn’t see buck or doe.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BizCT
Any parking issues??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Nope. Room for 4, I was 2nd car out of 3 total this morning. Talked to a nice older guy. He hunts like 50yds from the road where some does pass by. Sounds like he’s just trying for does. BizCT
10/6: Hunted Stateland 345pm - dark.Parked truck. I was 2nd one there. Got into my spot at 348pm. I sat about 20yds farther than last time closer to where I saw doe. I sat along a stonewall that was waist high when in my chair. At 4pmI saw another truck park and a guy walk in and go opposite way as me. He never saw me. At 550pm, everything happened according to plan. I catch movement to the right and see a young buck at 30 yards. I glass him up and see he's got chocolate rack and I see a fork. But no brows and other side was just a spike. Even though he was 1.5, I was really contemplating a bow buck on Stateland from the ground. He was eating greens off the trees and worked his under me. I was about 10-12 feet above his elevation. He got directly below at 27-29yds for a while but I declined to shoot. Then he came towards to me 23yds and again turned broadside. He knew something was off but wind was perfect. He kept smelling the air. If my cam was still there he would have walked by it. Then after about 10min he started looking towards where I park truck. I thought maybe another deer but instead it was the guy leaving who came in at 4pm. So he left early, sunset was 628pm. This guy never saw deer since he was like 125yds away but the buck turned around and walked away. Can’t post video so here’s 2 screenshots Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BizCT
10/13: 3N hunted dad’s land till 10am on lower part of property. Saw a doe and fawn or doe and doe at 9:15am. On way out checked acorn flat cam where I sat last night and 3 bucks checked out my piss in annual scrape after I left. Spike and 4/5pt are not shooters for me but that 4x2 still is.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BizCT
10/26: hunted dad’s land in 3N until 1030am. Watched a spike for 8min at 30 yards at 645am. I believe he’s the one on camera at 605am. Too bad the 4x2 from 10/22 didn’t show up instead of the spike. Other cams had does. Lower cam had a big bodied 4pt. In 2016 I shot a big bodied 4pt.In 2017 my dad shot a big bodied 4pt. Neither had brows, neither were 1.5's. It appears we have another one. BizCT
11/2: hunted with xbow with dad on his land. 29 degrees and barely any wind. Sent him to lower end of property and I went to the acorn flat blind. Cam showed a 8pt on 10/30 and a spike with a 4pt. I got into my blind at 630-ish. At 645am I heard a deer coming and saw a deer 28yds broadside but i couldn’t see antlers since it was too dark (sunrise 727am). The deer slowly walked away. At 745am I was glassing up to my right when I saw a deer. It was a tight 4 or 6pt. Eating and rubbing his antlers on some trees. He was about 80yards. I decided to try my grunt call to see if maybe he was with a bigger buck who would come In too. After hitting the grunt I got His attention, but I heard movement to my left. I looked left and saw an 8pt. 19 yards away making an aggressive scrape in the spot I always scrape in front of my trail cam. I knew right away this 8pt was a shooter but he was facing me with head down making a scrape so I couldn’t shoot. I planned to wait till he turned broadside either way. Instead he lifted his head way up high and started rubbing the branches above him. I had read a lot about frontal shots for year and to aim for a “front shirt pocket”. Being that i had the xbow and felt steady (while shaking mentally) I took the shot since it was wide open and so close. I heard a loud crack as the bolt went right through him. He tried to run uphill and tumbled back down. I saw him go down. He died 16 yards from the shot. My cam 2 pics of him before I shot at 750am. As I got my stuff together to leave the blind, the small 4/6pt came right in under 30yards. What a day! His antlers were all rubbed with trees and on the drag out I saw 3 fresh rubs. I believe he just came into the area recently (10/30-ish). 151lbs dressed at Amato’s butcher in Somers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
