grampy
We are doing another Hunter Ed Course on Saturday. Woodlawn Sportsmen's Club. Think we have about 30 coming. May be able to fit a couple more. Giving the Bow course in two weeks. Same place. Adding safe hunters to our ranks is very rewarding to me. The smiles and high fives as they receive their certificates, is the icing on the cake. 11

grampy
My day started pretty early for set up. And to early evening with clean up. But we added 29 new hunters to our ranks today! Great bunch too. Asked lots of questions. Even during the breaks. I'd be proud to share the woods with any of them. Becoming a Hunter Ed instructor has been, and is, one of the most rewarding things I've done in my years of hunting. When a novice, youngster, or lady hunter asks a question, and you can answer in a way they can understand. You see that light go on in their eyes.......like "Oh Yeah"! It is so worth the time and commitment. Ten times worth it. As you know they will always remember it. The big smiles and fist bumps at the end..........are truly priceless. 8

It was pretty interesting lots of hoodlums in my class made worried to hunt public land anywhere near NYC.My bow class on the other hand was taught by the guys that owned cougar sports in Ardsley. Great class taught by two great bow hunters. I was so sad when they closed up the shop. Was a great place for all of us living near NYC.It’s awesome to see a member here imparting good values and hunting ethics on the next generation of NY hunters Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
