Since Senator Bernie Sanders belongs to the Independent Party as a Senator, he should run on the Independent Party ticket.

This will enable his followers their opportunity to vote for him and take votes away from Joe Biden.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is the "progressive" dream candidate.  Cuomo supports illegal aliens, open borders, sanctuary cities, legalizing marijuana, social/welfare programs, gun control, easy on violent criminals, raise taxes to fix a problem, nonsense government regulations and inefficient government.   

Democrats nationally could careless of his poor job as governor for New York State.  Cuomo's grandstanding has exposed him regularly to America free of charge.  Cuomo will be relentless in his criticism of President Trump, even though his record has been poor in NYS.  Most New Yorkers are ignorant of his poor job as governor, so we cannot expect the rest of America to know the truth.

Sanders was in the race as a far left shill for the Democrats.  His job was to spew extreme far left ideals in order to make the Democrats slightly less extreme ideology seem moderate.  He got paid to drop out and let Hillary run and he got paid to drop out this time as well.  He knows he has no chance of winning the general election, but the Democrats saw a benefit to having him in the race.  He's a salesman for communism on commission.
