can I buy elk or venison over the internet and legally ship it into NY? or some other exotic animal meat?

I believe you can so as long as the meat is farm raised. Can't legally sell wild game meat since the FDA has no way of regulating its quality.

Yes you can. Farm raised meat only. Wild game cannot be bought or sold, and it has to do with wild game not being turned into a meat industry where animals are over hunted and poached.

Blur, Where are you located? I remember there bing a store in the Public Market n Rochester that had lots of exotic meats for sale. Elk, deer, buffalo, ostrich and such.

Its not exactly like buying meat from wegmans, lol. its my gf's families farm, and its well worth it, believe me.

Tughillhunter, I go by an elk farm on Hadley Road when going deer hunting at lake view. Is this the same family or are there 2 elk farms??

The one on hadley road is red stag and white tail. theyres is on weaver road, at the end of hadley and rte 3 corner.
