fasteddie
Your Profile shows what counties you hunt in but not where you live so I don't see how anyone could give a good answer to the question . Some of the fur buyers travel . There is a guy from webster that use to pick up furs in Pine Tavern ( near Perry ) .

Doc
It used to be that you could find a bunch of buyers with a half hour drive of anywhere. That sure has changed. I'm not sure whether they are still in operation anymore, but the Genesee Valley Trappers Assn used to hold seasonal fur auctions over in Honeoye. I haven't heard much from or about them in a couple years, but that might be some outfit you might check into if you live in western NY. nycoyotehounds..BUB
Doc, the fur market is strong right now. At NAFA prices have been 135 for fisher, 50-60 for red fox, 70 for coyotes.

NYBowhunter
I occasionally get a coyote or fox , what is the preferred method of ( holding, skinning etc) prior to sale to a fur buyer? Will skinning, salting and freezing of the pelt suffice?
nycoyotehounds..BUB
Skin. If you want to freeze make sure the hide is dry. Roll up head first. If you want to put it up then flesh it and stretch it. No need to freeze after.
