Mossberg 500

I bought my girlfriend the 500 20Ga deer / turkey combo, in full camo. It came with the rifled barrel. She wants a smoothbore slug barrel, so I sold the rifled one. I went to the Mossberg site to order one, and it says out of stock, unable to backorder. So I called Beikirch's, a nice gun shop by my work. My friend there said that he's still waiting on barrels from Mossberg that he ordered in JUNE. I can't find one anywhere, and I am starting to fear that she will not have a barrel before deer season. No one has any of these barrels.

I came across that problem when I was looking for a 20" field barrel for my Mossy 500. I ended up buying a used one on an auction site. Fortunately, the popularity of the Mossy 500 means you can find tons of used items on sale.

The maverick shotgun is the same as mossberg 500 and the barrels are interchangeable, i got a smooth shotgun barrel for my 500 from them. The slugs are a lot cheaper for smoothbore, and face it i usually only shoot 75 yards top with a shotgun.

Go to the gun show in March at the dome, theres always a bunch of shotgun barrels there and I always see Mossberg barrels.

I know you are up in Roch, but check Del's in Margaretville (Deleware county) http://del-sports.com/ they have tons of stuff there, and if not may be able to point you in the right direction.
