Meater wireless thermometer

Anyone have any experience with one of these?  I was tasked with getting a birthday present for my brother-in-law and he's a big green egg guy.  It looks cool if it works.

I don't have any experience with the wireless meat thermometer but it looks good. Did you end up getting it? I use the Weber Igrill app and it has a wired probe. the wireless probe would be a nice feature! The range would be great but my experience with wireless range is never as good as the manufacturer states, once there is a wall in way the range drops a lot.

I recently got sick of using garbage 20 dollar meat thermometers and bought a thermapen ,its absolutley incredible .

Yea I sent it to my brother in law in TN.  If he’s happy with it I’ll probably get one for myself.  

I’ve heard good things about Thermapen.

 I’ve been buying Javelins for gifts people for years, they are the poor mans Thermapen.  I finally got one for us to replace the crappy digital thermometer Iv had forever.

Digital thermometers are great for checking the temp of stuff on the grill, but when smoking I don't want to be opening up the smoker to check Temps, thats when I use the Weber probe.  Works for me although the wireless would be nice.

I've got the Ezbbq wireless thermometer. It has 6 probes which is great for cooking multiple meats. Links to my phone. Range isn't great, but I'm usually not far from my pit when I'm cooking.
