fasteddie
I was thinking of trying this when being out all day hunting . I think their 5 hours are up ............
Geno C
Lol thats funny Just to add i use 5 hours on every hunt for my all day sits... I have yet to close my eyes even for a min in the past 3 years. Its not a jittery drink but aids in awareness and the ability to focus. As some lough at me having stock in the tic spray, anyone who knows me knows during the season my pack has a few of these little bottles at any given moment lmao. My fiance says i should be a spokesmen for 5 hour. Im good with that... Lol
nyantler
I think a nap is sometimes the best part of the hunt..LOL... especially when turkey hunting!! I remember turkey hunting with an old timer friend of mine (since passed away).. we had hunted quite a few days in a row and it was the last day of the season.. we got in the woods a little before light and sat together under a huge oak tree... made a few calls around first light... then we both fell asleep until noon...lol.. we opened our eyes almost simultaneously.. look at one another and he said, "Had enough for one season?" I said, "Yup!" and off we went... we laughed about that day for years.
ants
Funny pic. I tried one of those energy drinks once (not 5 hour) I was to jittery and wired to do anything exept drive my wife nuts. Ever since then I've been too gun shy to try one again Edited March 28, 2012 by ants

The only thing is once i stayed awake enough to realize if your not alert and awake you can actually miss seeing deer VERY easy. which is the difference between seeing deer for that days hunt or not. Also by me not catching a wink i am able to put eyes on way more deer in the distance and even try calling them to my tree. Ive done that a few times... I do miss the sleep but all the deer i see make up for it lol
pistolp71
Never tried the energy drink. But, I agree that the naps sometimes are the best part of a hunt. Especially with young kids at home. I have been awakened several times by deer standing there looking at me, probably because I snore.
Paula
that has to be kinda freaky yet cool to wake up and see a deer staring at you
