Went there again today( Lawson Lake ) , caught a few Pickerel and had a good conversation with an ENCON Officer ( naturally he checked my license and catch )  Decent guy

Spaulding lake and got skunked! One bite, something big broke my friend off. 15" of ice and a dull auger kept us from exploring too much lol

Did you ever try Dan lake ?  I remember getting a few crappies and northern in there, but have not tried it in over 20 years.

Ive fished it in the summer and its mediocre. I also picked up the only tick of my adult life there
