  2. Great hunting cabin for sale on land leased from Cotton-Hanlon, Inc. This cabin is in the Town of Barton, Tigoa Co., NY on 128 acres of land owned by C-H. The cabin must be purchased from the prior lessee and then a hunting lease will be signed with C-H (these two things are a package deal they can not be separated). For more details about the cabin check out this page http://cottonhanlon.com/cabin353.html For other hunting leases (without cabins) go to http://cottonhanlon.com/leasing.html Thanks, Bob

  5. I don't think this was posted before ......... Dealing with coyotes The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor's dog, then bites the Governor. 1. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural. 2. He calls animal control . Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it. 3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases. 4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged. 5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous animals. 6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness program" for residents of the area. 7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world. 8. The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack. The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes. 9. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State. SOUTH DAKOTA : The Governor of South Dakota is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A Coyote jumps out and attacks his dog. 1. The Governor shoots the coyote with his State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge. 2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote. And that, my friends, is why California is broke and South Dakota is not.

  7. Just a classroom practical demo.....lol. I think the message probably got across to the rest of the class. It was nice of that guy to volunteer to shoot himself and his wife for the benefit of the class.

  8. it's more than yotes....fox, racoon and possum play a bigger toll than the yote. I believe the decline in trappers will have a bigger impact than anyone could imagine. thinking of taking the trapping class.

  10. Anyone i know who shoots over 65 lbs has blown their shoulder out at some point. uncle, cousin, friends with todays bows and proper shot placement 50 lbs does the trick everytime. My neighbor blew his shoulder out last year and had surgery and is seriously hoping he can draw back 50 lbs by the time season comes... I guess its a macho thing "more power", I've even taken an elk with my bow at 52 lbs... I'll keep mine low and be enjoying it my whole life with out the shoulder pain my friends and family are dealing with..

  11. Do non-hunters really differentiate between these idiots and the rest of us when they continually get bombarded with so many of these ridiculous incidents? We really get some pretty wide-spread bad press with these ugly displays of stupidity, and I think that a lot of non-hunters paint us with the same brush. Not fair, but I'll bet it happens. That's why every time I read another one of these kinds of stories, I almost take it personally because I know that, rightly or wrongly, such things have to effect how the non-hunting public views hunting and hunters.
