  1. Just remember, Democrats vote on Wednesday the 3rd, an Republicans vote on the 2nd.
  2. I thought the same thing. There is alot of yote scat at that spot too. I only have does and spikes on cam this year, but I did find a new scrape thats close to my stand.
  3. Notice the time difference of about 1 hour until this deer comes to investigate.
  4. They make it sound as if it went completely into the home. It obviously did not penetrate the home. It ended up hitting or sticking into the house, not in the house. Interesting choice of words by the Antis media for the title of the article.
  5. The air tax is coming...we will pay for the air we breath...
  6. http://huntingny.com/forums/index.php/topic,142.msg890.html#msg890 heard about it here...
  7. No, it says you can put a barrel manufactured by Mossberg (Maverick) on your 870. It works pretty good. I bought it from cabelas when they had $5 shipping.
  8. Got out just in time foran evening hunt, with my 5 year old. his first time ever! We found a deer trail and some doe crap. When I pointed to it, he got excited. He was pretty good about being quiet and stopping when I stop. We walked about 150 yds on a ridge, Then circled back down below along a creek. We did some rattling and grunting from the top of the ridge. tough to tell the squirrels from deer in the leaves. As we got back, we grunted frequently because I knew we were noisy. We sat down at a small field edge and obsereved, then a big snort scared the crap out of both of us! So I grunted back. We heard 1 more snort, and it sounded like the deer were coming closer. But I couldn't see up the hill. 10 minutes later I hear what I think was a challenge weeze with a stomp, this time alot closer. I had some buck urine in a scent bomb hanging 20 yds from us??? By this time it was hard to see, so we turned on the flashlight and saw nothing, no eyes, nothing. We walked back up to the house, a good hunt non the less...
  9. Saw nothing in the am, then 2 nice does too far in the evening. they walked down the road and stopped at my truck! one was bluffing its own reflction. I grunted at them, and they meandered closer, but still went in the same direction to my right. About 100 yards away. They seemed very cautious, and responded to my grunting, but never came right in. Dutchess County btw.
  10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elmer_Fudd Technically? ...In 1937, Tex Avery introduced a new character in his cartoon short Egghead Rides Again. Egghead initially was depicted as having a bulbous nose, funny/eccentric clothing, a voice like Joe Penner, provided by radio mimic Danny Webb[2], and an egg-shaped head (thus the moniker "Egghead"). Many cartoon historians believe that Egghead evolved Then ...Elmer emerges http://bits.wikimedia.org/skins-1.5/common/images/magnify-clip.png[/img]Elmer Fudd, resembling Egghead early in his career, is annoyed by the prototype Bugs in Elmer's Candid Camera. In 1940, Egghead–Elmer's appearance was refined, giving him a chin and a less bulbous nose (although still wearing Egghead's clothing) and Arthur Q. Bryan's "Dan McFoo" voice in what most people consider Elmer Fudd's first true appearance: a Chuck Jones short entitled Elmer's Candid Camera. I'm really only 31, but...
  11. Poach the poachers! No one knows they are there , right?
  12. Ibeleive you still shoot lower than the 13 yds because you are now shooting somewhat with the gravitational pull on your arrow. But, its pretty flat shooting at less 15 yds, no? Here are some calculator links. http://armbrust.roider.at/cms/ http://www.outdoorsden.com/archery/archbal.asp

It was last seen in the Fairview Cemetery at 10 p.m. Sunday. This photo was taken on South Avenue. (Photo courtesy of the City of Beacon Police Depart)
  14. I try to get in when it's dark, sound like a deer by grunting (use a little light for safety), and smell like a deer, or don't smell at all.
  15. Here's an 8pt and 4pt on Church Rd.
  16. Here's a pic of one of the branches. The deer are either licking it, or rubbing their foreheads on it. It is not from the dripper above. (I smelled it)
  17. I really need to move the cam and/or do some trimming. I keep getting pix like this at night. I think it's a big guy, but cannot get a head shot. No time...
  18. I didn't break a licking branch either. he're's some more pix. The second is what I believe to be a different spike. There's something on his back (right side). any ideas what that is? ???
  19. I finally set up my cam last Sunday. Pulled the card today. Found this little guy and some of his sisters. I used all my leftover scent from last year in a dripper. I didn't even scrape the ground below.
