Went with a Vortex X-Fire II. This is it at the range. Pics of the prints. The target is 100 yds 3 shot group with Fusion 150 gr. The shot up box is four rounds at 200 yds. Thinking she is a keeper. I adjusted the trigger down to 3.5 pounds. All good, very happy.

where you at?,.... PM me. -
Yup, agway out here brings in triple the number of skids of sweet feed in Oct to Dec..... must be for all those extra horses we have out here that time of year. I still can't get my head around Dicks though, they actually sell license and provide space for hunter ed courses. Same place next aisle down is selling Rage 3 blade heads in NY and whistling dixie.

Welcome to the family.... a 1967 Model 70. 30-06. Its a cream puff, but far from original condition. Iron sights removed from previous owner. Was thinking about keeping it a shooter and putting a pad on it instead of the butt plate. And putting new sling studs on. The set that it currently has is original and doesn't allow for the sling to be easily taken on and off. Will add some glass soon and adjust the trigger down to about 4 pounds from the 6 that it currently is. The metal (other than the missing iron) is damn near 100%. The wood 95% plus. It was an even trade with a guy in CT for an older O/U that I didn't want to own. With a little luck I might even have it ready for the woods this season.

Supposedly the factory in China that makes the Rage heads and the Swacker Heads in China has some kind of licensing dispute with Field Logic. They are now selling the heads as unbranded allover ebay for about $1 / head. People tell me that they are exactly the same quality, toughness, sharpness. Same line and process. Just different packaging. Someone gave me a hypodermic style head. It mics' and flies exactly the same as the branded one. Blades deploys and operate identically. Im gonna order a full 12 for the $12. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very nice scopes, just don't need them anymore..... they've laying on the bench in the basement for a year. VX1 3-9 x 40. One is duplex, the other is the LRD plex. I don't have the Leupold boxes anymore, but I can ship them in other boxes. They both have Butler Creek flip up caps. The optics are perfect, no lens scratches, tubes are not scratched up either. The zoom in and out and focus. I did have them mounted on my BAR's at one time but swapped them out for Zeiss Terra's when Dicks put them on sale. Anyways: $150 for the LRD (+ priority mail shipping unless you are local) and $120 for duplex (+ priority mail shipping). If you take both I'd do $250 (+ shipping). PM me if interested.

where are you located?

Try those Deer Season XP Winchesters. They shoot clean and accurate for me in the BAR's (30-06). They are devastating on deer. I recommend neck shooting when you can.
-
Easton Nemesis . They don't make them anymore, so I stocked up when they closed them out. Heavier arrow, penetrate well and hold up! 30" at 30 yards into a 400 FPS Hurricane bag.

where do you all keep them? I have two bolts with Timney's that I set at 2.5 and I can't shoot them any more. I had bring them both up to about 4 pounds. I know's its the Indian and not the arrow. Just curious where you all set them at for deer rifles.

deal is off, he won't move on the price south of $640. It would be cool to own but not for that much.

I like owning and shooting the older sporters. My BAR's are 1968 and 70. I have a 1976 model 336C is 35 Rem. that i like to hunt with on occassion as well. I think there was something to the older stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Im in my local shop last night and he's got what i think is either an old westerner or a featherweight on the wall. Looks to be clean with a bright bore. Not the best looking piece of walnut but good overall and good steel inside and out. Wants i think $550 ish. Says he looked up the serial and its a 1968 production 70. Thoughts????
