This is my first savage pre fit CF from X-caliber, but have had/built other rifles with CF barrels in the past with good results too. Hopefully this one will shoot as well as those with the LeHigh projos. The Halo X50 is an amazing scope too and I have a feeling some coyote aren't going to be happy this year.

A good friend is affiliated with Lehigh, so I try to support them before others. I've heard good and bad about hammer bullets, but have never tried them myself. One of the bad's, is that to make the bullet lighter for greater velocity, they use a lighter metal composition, which makes the bullets longer, so they might not fit into magazines or chamber with the longer OAL needed to seat them with a standard powder charge. Adjust accordingly and all should be good. I have a boat load of Noslers, but wanted to try an all copper bullet in case the NY politicians ban lead for hunting. If you get the hammers, please start a thread with your findings, as more choices is betterer.

Issues With New Smith and Wesson Victory
Shoots100 replied to Splitear's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Clean it, Try a higher velocity ammo and if your still having issues, send it back. Auto match isn't reliable in my used and abused Rugers, but they run like swiss watches with mini mags. -
"Concealed Carry Improvement Act"
Shoots100 replied to josephmrtn's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I was told that the SCOTUS doesn't allow any "balance between complying" with the SCOTUS decision and that these "Laws" that the dictator came up with are also against the ruling. -

Got the 20" X-Caliber Carbon .243 1-9 twist barrel last week. Threw it on the Savage Predator for a couple of quick pics. The rifle weighs 6.5lbs with the titanium linear compensator(LC) and is balanced, not barrel heavy. Ordered a couple hundred Lehigh 82 grn controlled chaos projos and soon this rig will be dialed in and ready for hunting. 10 pounds with a full 5 rd metal AICS mag, LC and the Halo X50.

Here's a short clip of the Halo X50 palettes. Doe is around 40 yards away. One of the great features of the Nvision Halo, is that you don't need to focus it. Saves a lot of time, but that perk comes at a cost. Halo X50 Palettes

In the words of Bill Clinton, Make abortion Safe, legal and Rare. -
Roe vs Wade

The fact that you can accept a person not having a choice with the vaccine, but having a choice with having an abortion is very absurd and shows just how much of a hypocrite you are. My body, My choice, with Caveats that'll fit the narrative. The Liberal way. How about we ban people from having sex, till a person is of the mandated responsible legal age to do so ? If a person isn't capable of driving, buying a firearm or joining the military until their of a certain age the government deems their responsible enough to do so, or with their parents consent, why not limit their age to have sex ? More regulation should make any liberal happy. -
All three are gone now, but in their prime, they were any fowls worst nightmare.

Roe vs Wade

I've always agreed with an individuals freedom of choice, but I see some who are arguing for a woman's right to choose here, were all aboard for mandating the China Virus Vaccine ? Losers. -

Roe vs Wade

The Pussy's run away, I have hope and stayed here to be able to watch the worms squirm around when these decisions were made. It's been a long time coming, so I'm going to enjoy it. I see now that the political leaders who were calling for peace, are the ones taking to the streets and calling for unrest. How quickly the tables have turned. Abortion was never a constitutional right and is going to be decided by the people now, the way it should've been done from the beginning. If the Dems want to pass abortion legislation, they can try it while they have a majority, but with the unpopularity of it, they don't want to lose even worse in November. They're left wing radical losers who's days are numbered and even the common sense Democrat NY'ers are fed up with their BS. I just bought some pop corn to enjoy the show. -

I don't self Identify as a woman today, so I can't speak on behalf of women, so I'll post my opinion as a NY taxpaying male today. I don't like that a woman can abort a fetus that has a heartbeat. I really don't like that the Governor of NY state can use my tax dollars to pay for the transportation of an out of state pregnant woman to NY state to have an abortion. You want an abortion, you pay for it. Lets see how long abortion clinics would last without taxpayer funding ? -
While talking with a fellow night hunter earlier this week, we were going over the scopes/mono's we have/had and I decided to dig up the thermals I currently have at hand. I kept the AN/PAS and Specter because they have sentimental value and I know I couldn't get a 1/4 of what I paid for them anyway. Just got the Halo and it is an awesome scope, so it's going to be my Primary scope this fall and the XG is on the chopping block. TM15 is an amazing spotter, but am saving for a spotter with LRF capabilities. The Rattler and HD19A are my backups. I've bought and used a lot of different thermals over the last couple of decades and have always thought that It can't get any better, then brand X comes out with a new gizmo and my wallet gets a lot lighter. This lineup spans from 1990's top of the line 160 resolution, to 2022 top of the line 640 resolution scopes. Rear left to right; AN/PAS-19 (HHTI), Elcan Specter IR SP50B, AGM Rattler 25, Thermion XG50, NVision Halo X50 Front left to right; AGM TM15-384 , Pulsar Quantum HD19A

Who was in control of Congress when prices started to drop and before prices went through the roof, Again ? You guessed it Chef, the GOP, Elections have consequences. -

We've been told that there was no election fraud in 2020, but the Dems are complaining about how stricter election oversight in key swing states is considered voter intimidation ? Yet when elections and voting results have had strict oversight, the Dems lose candidly in long time held districts. No correlation there, just some nutty conspiracy theories. Never Again. November is rolling around and it's going to be scary + funny watching the desperate measures the left will be trying to save their souls.

The Leftists in power played their Hand in 2020. They were so hungry for power and their hatred for Trump blinded them so much, they elected the dumbest politician in Gov't, because they thought that they could control him, even after Obama warned them, "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f... things up." Seeing that most Americans were upset with the electoral process, the electoral procedures were changed to stop the shenanigans that occurred in 2020 and wouldn't you know it, the Dems are suddenly losing seats that they've managed to hold for decades. Go figure.
