I used to pull my ladder stands down each winter and store them in my barn. That gets old so they've been out in the woods going on ten years just getting a new strap every season. I do give them a good inspection at the beginning of every season but I'm pretty sure I'll be swapping out at least one or two this year.

At one time I did believe the right was good for national defense, but see now it's all really nothing more than protecting American big oil interests in the big sandbox at the cost of thousands of American lives. I voted Republican right up to Obama. Voted for Bush Jr twice. I actually believed at one time that Republicans also supported small business, that turned out to be another huge scam and the only thing they do is supply tax giveaways to billionaires while selling trickle down economics which has done zero for middle-class working families.

Looks like Republicans are doing a great job of killing their voters in Covid ravaged southern states. I've been hearing that people are leaving NY in droves for decades by the right wing media noise machine. Yet businesses in NY are picking up and NYC is headed right back to the pre Covid boom. Home values anywhere in NY state are skyrocketing. Never bet against NY, you'll lose every time. I saw so many people after 911 run for the country and heading south selling their homes for whatever they could get only to find out the very homes they sold doubled in value only 2 years later. They couldn't afford to come back. The gloom and doom scenario the right likes to paint about NY has screwed many financially

Both side distort the truth to fit their overlords agendas. Nothing new there. But in all honesty I'm not liking anything I see coming from the right anymore.

Anyone think full inclusion has better possibilities with Gov Hochul taking the helm. Seems like Cuomo back burnered any crossbow legislation his whole time in office

I started out bow hunting the east end of Long Island, including Shelter Island. Shot my biggest bucks out there. I've had to drag a few out of people's backyards in the night, but hey that's Long Island deer hunting

Ive hand fletched arrows for decades and went the quickfletch route when they first started coming out, gotta be close to 10 yrs. Love those things. Use them for my crossbow arrows too. Have yet to have one come off. I gave away my old fletching jig and threw out my fletch glue and don't miss that job one bit.

I've know several guys who use the HF saw with slight modifications for a true square cut.

I thought he was a good Govorner. He put the 2% property tax law into effect. Before him with Republican Govorner Pataki my taxes were going up over a thousand bucks a year. I would have been forced to move if he was still in office. Everyone seems real giddy about Cuomo resigning but you'll be crying about his replacement soon enough.

Actually it is. Happened in NYcity for months during the Covid surge. I know of a couple myself. Good friend went in for chest pains, ended up laying in a hallway waiting days for 2 Stents. Not to mention hundreds of cases of people not going to an emergency room and dying in their homes for simple things like stroke, heart attack, and appendicitis.

This is ridiculous. There are currently no lockdowns in that state. Just about everyone who was there was vaccinated or tested. People are having parties every day. I just skipped on a friend's Birthday party where over 100 people attending here in the Hudson Valley.

It's really comes down to older people with underlying health conditions who refuse the vaccine. It's that segment of society that flooding hospital emergency rooms now in southern states. It's a shame when an otherwise young healthy person who's in an accident can't get proper emergency care and dies because the hospitals are full of fat old people with Covid. Who knows.

So your not in favor of a well bolstered highly payed state police force that will keep law and order and form a wall between your family and people that would love to do them harm

I'm hearing this virus has a 98% survivability rate. That's for the overall population that gets the virus. Put that number to 60yrs and older or people with health conditions like a dozen or so I could mention for almost any 60 yr old and the story becomes pretty grim. Not to met how this virus spreads like nothing we have seen in a long time. But now ICUs in anti vax states are filling up pretty quickly with the "Unvaccinated" and when you need a ruptured appendix removed at 3am and your local hospital ICU is at 110% good luck. Yep it was their choice to not be vaccinated and now people are begging for the vaccine as they get the air pipe slid into their gullets. NY went thru this because we were the first and totally unprepared for it with an incompetent president at the helm, but NYers are tougher than nails and we overcame. What's Florida's excuse
