Another one that has baffled me for years, behind my house there is a pretty deep ravine that is U shaped with the Salmon river bordering it. Its landscaped locked all the way around for any vehicle access. Here at the bottom sits an old and I mean old vehicle sitting on its wheels without a dent in the thing. Its long lost under water when beavers moved in and built a damn on a spring below it.

Im pretty sure JD compacts are all Yanmar made from top to bottom. They just painted them green with minor detail changes. ON that note, Yanmar motors are awesome but Yanmar 4 wheel drive front ends are JUNK, you have to be careful with them or you will bust out front end hubs at 1000 bucks a whack. Its the weak point on them. If your in 4 wheel drive, have a loaded bucket, turn sharp and cause the front wheel to fatigue climbing out a rut, hit a rock, wood just about anything expect to have a 3 wheel tractor. I know this cause I have had this happen about 4 times.

Best time on the river is before Oct 1 and after Jan 1. Of course salmon numbers are lower but you will pretty much have a lot of arm room and more fun. After January the fairweather fisherman are gone and the steelhead fishing just starts to get excellent. Beside on Sept 27th its treestand time lol.

They are pretty common, they just dont show themselves to humans often. Main diet is porcupines, so if you see them theres high chances you have fisher around as well. They also need to be pelt sealed and only a handful of DEC officers can do this. A taxidermist or furbuyer legaly cannot touch them without the pelt seal. I watched a Fisher and Fox play cat and mouse for a good 30 mintues last fall running around my stand. That darn Fox tried for all it could to catch that fisher but failed. I used to trap them on a regular basis as well years ago and it was a lot easier to trap them than fox or coyote. Had to drive an hour to the Cortland office to get them pelt sealed. Some years I was able to time it and meet the officer at an off ramp or rest area halfway or so. You also need to fill out a furbearer possesion tag before getting the pelt seal.

I live on the SR and there are multiple problems facing the fishery on the river and lake for that matter. They are cutting back on stocking numbers for Chinook by 30%, they are non native and the feds are pushing more and more for higher native numbers. Anther problem and a big one in my opinion is not the lack of rain but the mis management of the water releases throughout the summer for kayak and tubing on the river. SInce this has started the water levels in the upper and lower res have been low come the salmon run. This year it is really low. Last time I went to the upper to chase some walleye the water line was 30 to 50 feet from the end of the launch ramps. Alewives are a concern but the stocking numbers and water levels are bigger in my opinion. The fisherman numbers have significantly dropped as well over past few years. Thankfully it seems the respectable ones are returning more than the disrespectful ones. Theres less trash past couple years on the banks and thrown out the windows onto our local lawns now. Thankful for that. The runs are later and later as well. I remember as a kid there was no regulations and a sawed off broom handle , some clothes line with a big ole treble hook was the norm. Then came the crowd and snag hooks and a whole slew of colorful personalities lol. Its much harder to catch a salmon with the current regulations but seems to have thinned the disrespectful groups away. I have to laugh at guys who keep these salmon for human consumption, man if they stayed around to deal with the death and smell of these things later on in the season they probably never eat one again.

So with 31 days to go shouldn't he already be addressing the "real stuff" Trust me I dont want Hillary in there, Im not even certain I want Trump in there but time is up, he hasnt addressed the real stuff yet. You are not going to win an election by just saying if Im president I will create more jobs, or rid the world of terrorist, He needs to tell us the details of how. Something he has not done. I am a business owner and this election has been the hottest topic of any election I have seen. Out of all the businesses I affiliate with I can tell you only 1 owner I know is truly undecided on who they are voting for and that is me. I have not been told by a single one they are voting Trump, they all have said the same thing, he has said nothing convincing them he has a clue how to run this country. Most all of them also said its the first time they will not vote for the republican party. Business owners are concerned, very concerned about growth and he economy. He needs to address the real stuff immediately and damn well should have been doing so already.

These 2 idiots are a disgrace to run this country. Im sorry but the more I see and hear from both of these two the more and more I honestly believe Larry, Curly or Moe would do a far superior job than either one of these wack jobs. Yeah Trump slammed her, slammed her husband, slammed Obama. That was great but he needs to start putting some detail into his answers about the way he is going to fix problems not just say over and over I will, I will, I will. His response to the muslim lady was terrible. He needs to get serious on the last debate. He hooked Hillary a few times but she still laid out her plans in detail. Details on there policy agendas are important. Trying to win by convincing Americans he is a better person than her isnt going to cut it. Details details details.

That is just the problem I had though. The list of politicians that are liars, cheaters and criminals outweigh the one that are not. Her background and activities certainly scare me however so does the lack of experience, the non-serious attitude and the clown like verbiage he uses is not good. If he doesnt tread lightly he is going to piss every country off with some of his stupid ideas and where will that lead us economically and our security? Scary times ahead either way.

I turned this on with the mindset to not think Hillary or Trump but Kaine vs Pence. I got to say Kaine is the rudest prick I ever seen debate. All he did was try to talk over and change the subject. It seemed Kaine was in dire desperation to bash instead of debate. Pence held his composer, answered the questions he was asked and respected his opponent. Both Hillary and Trump have turned my stomach in more ways than one and for once I wished we could all vote or someone we liked vs the lesser of who we think is evil. This vp debate was going to be my determining factor, I was leaning Trump but Pence just confirmed my decision. Wish Pence had Trumps ticket for 2016.
