I have several black friends who all voted for Obama and all have at one point or another talked about there disappointment in how he has done nothing to stop the racial wars and help unite the black community. One of them in particular was raised by his grandmother and he was telling me that the whole time he was with her she would constantly tell him to stay away from white people as they are evil. He said he was so scared when he moved out on his own just to be around anyone white. He said he learned in a short period that the hatred they have towards whites is just stupid and he wishes his people would learn to respect each other like the white community does. I would guess most would avoid them however no one is perfect and we all know it doesnt take a lot to put an arrow off target even by a couple inches. My point being that I dont think temperature is a reason to hunt in the am. I would much rather have cooler weather ahead of me than behind me. When sitting you pretty much have no other choice but to bend at the waist, it naturally forces you to do so, where standing you can drop the arm in aiming. Your sitting, you have to lean forward and bend at the waist to get bow and string clearance. Its my prefered method and unless a deer is off to my right the I rarely ever stand.

LIghted nocks will change your life. The second guessing of a shot is gone, its clear as day where the arrow travels and hits a deer. I shoot firenocks as well and never had a problem other than them turning on randomly if I bump the bow once in a while but not enough to concern me.

I would go old school, while its outside get yourself some parafin wax when its nice and hot and rub the wax over the outside and let it burn off. Never once had a problem getting ammo for mine. Gander Mountain stocks it, Dicks stocks it, I know at least 2 local gunshops who stock it and you always got sportsmans guide to boot. Wish I could count the number of times I have done that with various objects. Was on house phone and drove 12 miles the last of it on a bumpy dirt road and seen the phone on the bumper only after I drove those roads all the way back home. One time stopped at a gas station towing the boat to the lake, grabbed a soda, checked trailer connections, get on the road and I cant remember if I even bought the soda cause its no where to be found. OH man, incredible dogs. My GSP is absolutely a great hunter. There desire to hunt are 24/7. A good blood line takes little effort to train. Even in the house the desire to hunt doesnt quit. Just past couple weeks mine has located a mouse in the house, its the funniest darn thing to watch. She will grab a mouth full of her dog food and drop it in a little pile as bait for the mouse and sit there motionless for hours at night waiting to pounce on it. She gets about one shot at it a night when all heck breaks loose. In the woods she pin points birds other friends dogs have missed. Whoever takes this puppy the OP is spot on, they need the land and the owner who will enjoy hunting and being active outdoors as the dog will. Heartbreaking I bet but I think you are doing the right thing. They need to keep active and are a great companion in the woods and in the home.
