Love seeing these dudes out in the turkey woods.

Son and I are watching 2 gobblers 200yds out in dirt field. Talking a lot, but not budging. Be a long morning.

All quiet in Naples.

Hiked in some state land just behind the house, where I have heard birds while doing morning chores. Tough hike. Briefly considered going back for ropes and spikes, but a friendly sherpa loaned me some stuff on the way up here. This hill shall henceforth be known as the Murderhorn. Good luck fellas.

Law, I bread them and deep fry in a cast iron, usually over a campfire.

That doesn't look healthy.

It is almost a sweet flavor. Mild. The flesh is nice, firm, and white like really good fish.

Anyone else here like frog gigging? My son and I do it a lot in summer. Opens June 15th. We take the canoe out at night. I paddle, he spears most of them. We both carry super bright lights. Frogging is a ton of fun, and eating them is awesome!

With such little time left in the session, I'd be shocked if there's much movement on this.

Excal is a great bow. I have 2 of the Matrix series. Have had them since xbow opened in ny. You can change a string in 5 minutrs and be back hunting. There is a lifetime limb warranty (I never had a break yet) And Dawn will always help you if you call Excal with a question. Does the grizzly have a plastic rail tho? Might be worth it to find one with the aluminum rail. More durable. The matrix 310 is still affordable. Not made anymore, but you can still find them online. That said, you still can't go wrong if you decide on the grizzly. Also, I can't stress enough the importance of the ADF. Anti dry-fire system. If not included with your bow, it is worth the extra $.

I have a matrix 310. 200lbs draw.

Canandaigua last night.

I use sand or scotch on my strikers. Whatever gives me the tone I like. Congrats. Looks like a sweet call.

Got one this morning. 19lbs. 6.5" beard. 3/4" spurs. 45 yards. Only a few series of yelps once he flew down, and he came in looking for me. Thankful!

Pickerel fishing on Canandaigua tonight. Slow night. Only one.

My fear would be if non hunters had to pay, then they would have more of a say in management and use.

No he wasn't. Just a facemask.

Sorry pic is sideways.

We got my buddy his first bird on Sat morning, in Naples. (He is the one in blue hat) Called him in around 930 with my Father In-law's old Lynch's fool proof box call. Really happy for Paul, he has been trying for a long time. Thankful he was able to get him at my place, and that I was there to share in it. 1" spurs. 8.5" beard. 19lbs.

It will happen. NYBH is losing their grip. Maybe not this year, but it will happen.

Anyone in support of this should become a paid member of NYCC, and send in the support letter they are asking us to fill out.

Settled in. Break in the rain. Windy. Good luck all.
