What do you mean they don't apply? As in people disregard the law & nobody enforces it? Or some of the laws don't apply to landowners? And no, I don't think people should be shooting 3 bucks, but I think a landowner should have more say on their land.

Ya we lost some parts this year. The box was ripped bad. They ended up replacing the stand.

Exactly. No one in my woods after 1st week of Sept. The deer will move all gun season if you're smart and hunt like you were bowhunting. I've seen deer move like normal, right after some nearby shooting. I don't think it's the noise.

No insistence here. Just what I feel is a valid question. I disagree with you.

Why should anyone have a say in the weapon I use, on my own land? Not saying I hunt with x bow illegally, I don't. But, what business is it to anyone who isn't paying my damn taxes? Yes crossbow is easier. I can pick it up after a month, and shoot a bull the first shot. This is exactly why I prefer it. In the hands of a hunter who knows it's limitations, it is a more effective and humane weapon, with less room for error. The only drawbacks are the poor trajectory, the noise, and how easy it is to hit a limb on something. I'd be very interested to see the amount of deer wounded by vertical bows, vs crossbows.

Salvatore's is good. There's one on Clinton ave. Only a few miles.

What outfit are you with?

Congrats! Your turn.

We heat our 1,200 sq ft house with an Osburn stove. It's our primary heat. We love it.

At camp. I shoot to 50 for fun, but never past 30 at an animal.
-
I've had a few 30 footers for gun. No more though. Had a close call and not worth it to me. If you fall from thirty feet, you gonna hit the ground like a dart. That said, you rarely get busted at anything over 20.

I have 2 of them. They are sweeeeeet.

Got mine in under 2 weeks. I'd call nysdec license sales. 1-866-933-2257. They helped me when my son's online account was messed up.

Awesome. Nice looking deer and hog. Are you going to save the deer hide or skull?
-
Hasn't changed a bit since last year. Can't believe he survived winter. His left hip is all caved in, and he doesn't put weight on that leg. His left hoof is all curled, too. Looks skinny. He's definitely number one on my list. Not the biggest, but super cool.

My wife loves her Wrangler. It's not a Rubicon tho. I rarely drive it. It's purple.

Nice groups on that smiling deer, too. Have fun guys.

Please keep us posted as the day goes. Tell Mark Kurt said hello!

The hunt is slowly getting closer. Oct 14th is the day. Shot the muzzleloader today. This group is 10 shots off a pair of shooting sticks. 50 to 75 yards. Not as good as a scoped inline, but I'm happy seeing as it is a peeped hawken. 420gr conical over 80gr of 777 ffg. I would like a hotter load, but the groups start to open up if I increase the powder. You muzzleloader guys think 80 is enough? Shots on the hunt will avg between 50 and 75 yards. Heart and lungs only. No head shots.
