I just bumped a hen off a nest with about 12 eggs. I was within 20 feet of her, when she flushed & scared the hell out of us. Feel kinda bad. Does anybody know if they come back after that?

On the way home from camp, a few miles down the rd. She had just gotten hit when I pulled up. I took her out of the rd. What a waste. ????

First day out with the crossbow. Heard one far off, but trespasser on 4 wheeler went through neighbor's around 5. So loud. I can't believe anybody would ride a wheeler through the turkey woods. Birds that were here last week all silent. I'm sure he was in here during the week. I love the entitlement attitude of locals. He's parked now and "hunting". Maybe I'll get to bust him.

I'm looking forward to the last week of the season. Any birds still talking, are a lot more likely to come in. At least, that's what I've found.

Had 4 or 5 talking, but hens went right to them. Still gobbling once in awhile. Deer harassing the hell out of us today. Blowing and crashing around all morning. Not doing us any favors. Can't hunt much longer, sis is in town from Oregon.
