Hey everybody, we just got back from PA. I bought my girflriend a ram hunt for Christmas @ Mohr's island hunts, in Bainbridge, PA. This was the first time she's taken anything bigger than a squirrel. Say what you will about preserves, but this was a real hunt. The rams were very skittish and spooky. The island is 1 mile long and varies from 200 yds wide to over 400 yds wide. We found a group of 8 rams, and this one was out in the front. She made an awesome 55 yd shot with her Mossberg 20Ga. Broadside, double lung. He dropped and kicked once. I am really proud of her. The guides were great, really putting effort forth, to make it safe and enjoyable for everyone. You can't beat the price. $350.00, included field care and lunch. I talked her into a shoulder mount, and we're having it made into a lot of sausage. She used to be an anti - hunting vegetarian. I guess she has really come around! Can't wait for turkey season!!

Put any of those 'experts' out next to any of us, where we hunt (in the real world), they would do no better than we do. Can't stand hunting / fishing shows.

I love the Remingtons, that's all I shoot. My Ithaca groups well with them.

Early, why do you always attack on a personal level? It seems that you like to throw insults at whatever group or individual has a different viewpoint than you. It's a pattern with you, and it bugs me. Not everybody was seeing eye to eye on this thread, but any disagreement was done respectfully, until you showed up. Take Doewhacker for example. He does not agree with my viewpoint (or the viewpoint of several others) on this issue, but he doesn't start insulting and acting like a little kid. I have a lot of respect for that. You respect no one, and therefore deserve no respect yourself. You feel free to start your B.S. anytime you don't get your way, or anytime you feel like you are not winning an argument. This is not middle school, no one is impressed / intimidated by your witty remarks. Class it up a little, will you?

The Nuge kicks ass. He's loud, offensive, and in your face. The left has plenty of wackos a lot more crazy than uncle Ted, but it's acceptable for them, they're 'misunderstood'. People love to hate him, because they fear him. They fear the fact that he is not ashamed of what he is or what he represents. They fear the fact that he is PROUD to be an American gun owner and an American hunter. As a group we have been taught to always be on the silent defense, and to keep our guns / dead animals, out of sight so that we don't offend anyone. Screw that! We have nothing to apologize for, and nothing to be ashamed of! Props to Ted for grabbing his balls, speaking up, and telling it how it is. Some of us here seem to be of the mindset that we should be a silent group, afraid to speak up for ourselves, & making efforts to placate people who we shouldn't give a **** about. Does PETA make apologies for the crazy sh*t they do? What about the idiots at the UN with their 'Small arms treaty', are they sorry for offending anyone? Hillary? Feinstein? Sotomayor? ANY OF THEM?
